I joined Shopify in a quest to keep learning about the fascinating digital world of ecommerce and how successful products are built.

My initial task was to build an entire new brand from scratch, in parallel to the product design. The brand focuses on offering fast & free 2-day delivery to Shopify merchants so they can keep building customers’ trust. And what better way to earn their trust than delivering on that promise. Enter Shop Promise: the best way to earn trust with billions of buyers. Not only does the service provide clear delivery dates and easy returns, it also extends beyond their own stores to surfaces like Google, Facebook, Instagram and #Shop. Best of all, merchants data is theirs and theirs alone; and there are no additional or monthly subscription costs for customers.

After launching Shop Promise successfully my scope has increased exponentially. I was first given the responsibility to run Markets, Markets Pro and Taxes. This led to me running the entire Scale portfolio including the Shipping portfolio of products and services. And after successfully managing this portfolio of brands, I was given the creative leadership of Shop and all its subrands including Shop Pay, Shop Cash and Shop AI among others.

With over 20 million monthly active users, Shop is a go-to app for many when it comes to shopping and tracking packages. Drake x Shop

In a one of a kind partnership, we hosted 6 geo-gated drops on tour with Drake and improved Shop’s drop functionality every step of the way. The idea was simple and quite impactful. Before and after every show, we projected a QR code in each of the venues for people to try to score free and exclusive Nike x Nocta merch.

 

Mr. Beast x Shop

There’s no bigger influencer than MrBeast. For that reason we’ve been creating exclusive integrations in some of his episodes as well as Shop Cash giveaways on his social accounts. For the Ages 1-100 video, we created an exclusive drop where people got to buy pieces of the real set of the episode for $1. A few days later, all these collectibles started popping up on ebay for a lot more money.
